the founder, facilitator, chief storyteller & mess maker of RobinLK Studios, a service-disabled woman veteran-owned business serving women 15-50+ through spaces & resources meant to inspire, inform, and empower.

I believe the learning process is both frustrating and exciting at the same time. Rebuilding this website is a great example of that process! Join me Summer 2021 as I rebuild A – Z… one page, post, and image at a time.

Starting a new writing notebook always feels good. So much possibility. The ‘just finished one’ took a full year with stops & starts. But what a year! Calling all… new writers, non-writers, military Calling all… new writers, non-writers, military spouses, creatives, writers who’ve been busy😉, journalers, women in the crosshairs of change, women (& men) who’ve said Enough is enough… I’m going to figure this cr*^ out!! …. ~ this new community is for YOU (and me, because I like writing buddies😍). Are you wanting to develop your writing muscle? Build a habit? Put those words SOMEWHERE?!?! But…. our 5 AM writing does {not} fit in your world (or your time zone). No problem! I’ve had lots of Qs about that & tried surveying for other time slots. Nope. Nada. No matches. Seriously ~ it was comical. Imagine wrangling 8 friends for a lunch date & no two have the same schedule. Pure chaos. 🤦‍♀️ Sooo…. here’s my solution ~ and I’m borrowing an idea from Tiff over at @southerngals_designs with her #uglyartclub as you guys play with colors. I’m LOVING seeing what ya’ll make in 15 minutes. As I thought about how to connect with folks who want to play with words, the Quick Write Club popped into my head. 🤩 new hashtag ⤵️ #quickwriteclub an easy, flexible & fun way for those of us wanting to write, to also connect. I see you! Best part?? No schedules were harmed in the making of this writing ‘group|club.’ 😊✒️ Big thanks & hugs to Angie @clevercrafter for talking through a few name options with me this morning… Speaking of names…. my fellow educators will recognize the Quick Write name. It’s a strategy used in classrooms to promote thinking, self-assessment, reflection, creativity, communication, and writing practice ~ to name a few. And the time factor promotes safety, ‘do-ability,’ and interest. Everyone can write for 1 - 5 minutes. Right?? {Quick} Write. It’s in the name. 😉 It was a ‘regular’ in my classrooms & professional development trainings. Not sure why I didn’t think of it sooner… 🧐 Now, we can use it here for All the same reasons…✨ Ready??
